This 4,000 square foot addition sits atop a cliff overlooking Lake Erie, and came with its fair share of challenges from excavating a 9’ basement to seamlessly mixing this massive new addition with the existing 100 year old house. The clients wanted to keep many elements from the historical existing house such as the old doors and knobs as well as bring back the traditional Lakewood elements with a tiled entryway. We seamlessly tied the addition in to create an open floor plan with a huge entertainment kitchen and a beautiful 2-story great room with breathtaking stick-built scissor trusses, gorgeous soapstone, and an impressive tiled gas fireplace. This project stands out as a huge transformation from both the exterior and interior making it a one of a kind addition.
